While we broke tradition for the feast, we were able to stick with our favorite tradition of eating pie at Grandma Jessop's. Even Nicole and Penny came up with us. (Dan & Brenda snuck out to a movie!) It was Nicole's first time in Pinesdale. As the brothers were laughing hysterically, she commented that now she nows why they are all so fit. Their abs get quite the workout when they get together. And oh the pies! So very yummy!
Overall, Thanksgiving was almost too perfect. I had zero anxiety, we didn't have to travel, all the food turned out, and we got to hang out with both friends and family. I guess you could manipulate a popular expression by saying "I got to have my pie and eat it too!" LOL!
