All year long the preschoolers have been looking forward to riding on the firetruck! Today was finally the big day and wouldn't you know it...the weather actually cooperated! One of Kristen's classmates has a dad who is a firefighter so he and another young man came and did a fun presentation for Little Cougars Preschool!
Along with general fire safety, they were shown all the equipment firefighters use.
The kids all got a chance to try on the firefighter helmet and or coat. Kristen opted out once one of her friends proclaimed it was stinky! But her teacher Mrs. Clark was a great sport and donned the stinky fireman's coat and helmet!
Then each of the 15 kids got a turn with the firehose. The boys loved it...the girls were a bit more cautious...and because Kristen is indeed my daughter....she was the most cautios of all:)
I think she was worried about getting her shoes wet!
We were able to get a quick photo of the entire class before the long anticipated ride around town in the red firetruck!
That is so cool!!! And the weather looks amazing!
