Jansen had the opportunity to go try out for Northwest College in Powell, WY...and he was offered a spot on the team:) Although he later chose not to accept the offer, he, Joe, and Eli had a fun road trip. One of their stops on the way was back to Red Lodge, MT at Charlie Siddle's place. Here is what Joe posted on Facebook that day:
Where
did the time go? It was a difficult day 10 years ago when we watched
Red Lodge, MT disappear in our rear view mirror. Jansen and I passed
through Red Lodge today for the first time since then on our way to
Jansen's college basketball tryout. We
stopped at Charlie's pond hidden behind the quacking aspen where we used
to spend summer afternoons canoeing, ate chips and salsa at Bogarts on
main street, and topped it off with an ice cream cone at the Red Box Car
with the gurgle of Rock Creek in the background as the sun slipped
behind the Bear Tooth mountains. Almost felt like Jansen was 8
again...if only he was.
