No More Pickety PICC

Will had his 10 day follow up visit today at St Pats and all things are pointed in the right direction! During his holiday stay he lost 22 lbs but since his release he has gained 7 of it back.
Upon going into the hospital on Dec 19th his white cell count was an outrageously high septic 27.5 and today he was back down to 5.1.
We thought he was going to be on his PICC line for daily IV for at least 3-4 weeks but instead they removed it today and put him in straight oralantibiotics because of speedy progress!
He still has pockets of pneumonia and clots on his lungs but his left lung is now recovering from the partial collapse.
His echocardiogram his clean so no clots in the heart. His appetite is back with a vengeance. He can now take regular showers (thank goodness cuz...dang). He can and should begin exercises to regain his muscle strength.
He is not completely out of the woods yet as he has follow up CT scans, blood work, and X-rays in 3 weeks. Thank you all for your prayers and continued prayers as he begins to emerge from this scary episode.
He is one of only 300 hundred in the US to get Lemierre's syndrome last year. He is literally a one in a million type of kid...and clearly has more to do here on this earth
