Thansgiving 2010

They say a picture is worth a thousand words...so I'll just use 5 words to sum up Thanksgiving and let the pictures do the talking:
Utah! Sledding! Chuck-a-rama! Family! Fun!
Matt, Caitlin, and Allie

My beautiful little sis!

Just me and my bros!

Mimi and Papa...looking amazing!

Matt (the photographer) and family. I love this shot!

Kristen, Tarin, and Allie (No fake smiles here!)

Carlie enjoying the best sled hill ever!

Ember, Julie, and Tyson on the 28 year old wooden sled from Holland...older than Caitlin!

The Sledding Crew....Papa's taking the picture

The Sledding Crew...Joe's taking the picture.

Will and Kristen bundled up for Thanksgiving Day Snow Sledding Fun!

My Man!

Ember and Carlie had a blast both sledding and wiping out together.

Here's Papa with Tyson on the wooden sled...Kristen to the side.

Matt and Boris finally showed up to join in on the fun. Here is Papa taking the picture....

Here's how the picture on Matt's fancy camera turned out!

Boris loved chasing the sledders...especially the ones like Jansen who were wiping out.
Matt had everyone go down the Fox Hollow Sled Hill all at once.
On Your Mark...Get Set...Sled!

"I FEEL ALIVE!"

So what could all these people possible be waiting in line for?

Thanksgiving Feast at Chuck-a-rama, of course!
We waited for about one hour and 10 minutes. It was super, super freezing. I lucked out since Kristen was freezing...we headed to the van and waited in the warmth...hee, hee.

The Thanksgiving crew...finally at the door!
Come on frost bitten toes! Come on aching ears! Come on food!

Why Chuck-a-rama? After dad being diagnosed with prostate cancer, and having prostate removed, and after weeks of recovery, and after having been tested and the results are awesome...why not celebrate! And don't you think mom deserved a break from cooking after all her weeks of selfless service taking care of dad? Seriously....why didn't we think of Chuck-a-rama before?

Jordan and Tyson chowing down! Definitely worth the wait:)

Back at home, Julie and Carlie just hanging out.

Tarin lost a tooth while we were there! The song "All I want for Christmas are my two front teeth..." takes on a whole new meaning!

I was trying to get a shot of the girls and I but with my time lapse...Will got in every shot.

Tyson with Carlie's football. I love my nephew!

Kristen and Tarin spent the majority of the time "sledding" down the stairs in their sleeping bag! You could hear them saying, "Whoa-oa-oa-oa-oa-oa-oa-oa", followed by a thud, and a giggle, and a quick run upstairs to do it all over again!

We all miss Darla the dog who passed away just weeks before my dad's surgery. Ironically, she died of cancer. Thankfully, Matt had his dog Boris along for the trip. Kristen misses Darla but absolutely fell head over heels in love with Boris!

Oh yeah, I'm supposed to let the pictures do the talking....
Mom and Dad loved having Matt visit. Matt celebrated his 40th birthday with 40 crazy gifts and then Jordan video taped it and burned discs for all of us to have laughter and fun for years to come! Mom and dad celebrated 41 years of wedding bliss! And dad had a birthday! Lots of celebrations!

Mimi and Papa with the Grandkids minus Leslie's. We missed your family so much Leslie!

The nieces and nephews love Uncle Matt! I love him too!
Family is definitely what Thanksgiving is all about!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
